Dr Mark Sinclair

Dr Mark Sinclair - elected as President of NSW Branch of the ADA in November 2009. Dr Sinclair graduated from Sydney University Faculty of Dentistry in 1980 and operates a private practice in Bathurst NSW. He is also a practicing solicitor, graduating from the Faculty of Law Macquarie University in 2001 and advises on dental risk management on the Secretariat of NSW ADA.

 

Dr Stephen Blackler

Dr Stephen Blackler graduated from the University of Sydney in 1978 with a BDS, followed by an MDS in 1983. He is a Fellow of the RACDS, International College of Dental Surgeons and the Pierre Fauchard Academy. Dr Blackler is an Endodontist, a Specialist Clinical Associate at the University of Sydney and is in full-time private practice in Sydney.

 

Dr Peter Foltyn

Dr Peter Foltyn has been Consultant Dentist to Sydney's St Vincent's Hospital for 33 years, primarily managing a range of medically compromised patients. He has authored papers on dental aspects of HIV infection for compendiums published by the Medical Journal of Australia as well as lecturing widely and conducting workshops throughout Australia and New Zealand on oral manifestation of HIV infection and other health care related issues. Dr Foltyn provides routine oral health assessments for all new head and neck cancer patients and others with complex medical conditions being treated at St Vincent's Hospital and is on call to the St Vincent's Hospital Emergency Department where he manages a large number of patients who have suffered traumatic oral and facial injuries. In 2007 Dr Foltyn was instrumental in the establishment of the first fully functional Dental Clinic in Australia to employ a Dental Hygienist within a nursing home - the Montefiore Home at Randwick and in setting up education strategies on oral and dental health for residents, staff and family and was recently awarded the title of Honorary Life Governor for his contributions to the home.

 

Ms Terry McAuley

Ms Terry McAuley is the principal consultant for STEAM Consulting. Terry represents the Australian Infection Control Association on the Australian Standards Committee responsible for both AS/NZS 4187 and AS/NZS 4815. She is a regular contributor to industry journals and has published and presented numerous papers on the Australian Standards, infection control; hand hygiene; cleaning of reusable devices; types of small steam sterilisers; calibration, monitoring and maintenance of steam sterilisers and storage of sterile items.

 

Dr Rouel Vergara

Dr Rouel Vergara is the National Training Manager for Gunz Dental in Australia and New Zealand. Prior to becoming the company’s National Training Manager, Rouel held the position of Clinical Product Manager for 2 years.

Rouel earned his Doctor of Dental Medicine degree (DMD) from The University of the East in Manila, Philippines. He obtained his marketing education from the University of Sydney and also holds a Certificate 4 in Training and Assessment. Rouel’s interest in the field of dentistry is in Endodontics and Prosthodontics. He is currently an active member of various dental organisations both local and international. This includes the Australian Dental Association (ADA), Australian Society of Endodontology (ASE), Australian Prosthodontic Society (APS), and American Dental Association (ADA). He has also provided lectures for various dental groups, practices and organisations in the ANZ region. This includes New Zealand Dental Association (NZDA -Nelson branch), New Zealand Dental Hygiene Association (NZDHA-Christchurch and Dunedin Branch) and New South Wales Dental Assistant Association (NSWDAA). Rouel is currently involved in a modern and state-of-the-art dental practice in Parramatta CBD located in NSW. Rouel enjoys spending time with his family, singing, travelling and playing basketball.
