co-worker found my payslip and read it. Is this iilegal? co-worker is now asking for a payrise. Is this fair?

How did your co-worker "find" your payslip? They are supposed to be confidential and given only to the person concerned. Was it available for anyone to access at the workplace? Maybe the privacy policies at the workplace need to ensure that all confidential information is secured.
