OH&S in the Dental Setting - The NSW DAA conducts a half day training session addressing the OH&S requirements in Dental Settings and provides a comprehensive handbook to surgeries requiring assistance in formatting policies and "getting started". An online health and safety guide is now also available.^

This follows the new Occupational Health & Safety Act 2000 and Regulations 2001.

If your surgery would like inhouse training and assistance, covering such topics as understanding the new legislation, consultation process, risk assessment and management, policies and procedures, recordkeeping and other related topics, please contact us.

The NSW Dental Assistants' Association has developed an Occupational Health & Safety Handbook for Dental Surgeries which is available to all dental clinics to help them in the implementation of OH&S Policies and Procedures now required by legislation. This handbook is written in conjunction with the Workcover Assist program and has NSW Workcover approval.
